Remove "Ads by Speed Dial" virus (Easy Removal Guide)

Remove "Ads by Speed Dial" virus (Easy Removal Guide): "Speed Dial is an adware program, that displays pop-up ads and advertisements on web pages that you visit. These advertisements will be shown as boxes containing various coupons that are available, as underlined keywords, pop-up ads or advertising banners.

What is Speed Dial?

Speed Dial is advertised as a program that displays coupons for sites you are visiting and competitive prices when you are viewing product pages at sites like Amazon. Though this may sound like a useful service, the Speed Dial program can be intrusive and will display ads whether you want them to or not.
When installed, the Speed Dial browser extension will display advertising banners, pop-up advertisements and in-text ads, stating that they are brought to you by “Speed Dial”.
These ads are aimed to promote the installation of additional questionable content including web browser toolbars, optimization utilities and other products, all so the Speed Dial publisher can generate pay-per-click revenue."

Facebook is really what you make of it, and even though it can feel like it consumes so much of your day, ultimately, you have the ability to control your total usage. One feature on Facebook that many people do not seem to use is “Interests Lists”. These are custom-curated lists of pages and personalities organized in any way you like. You can even follow someone else’s list. You might be familiar with Twitter Lists, and Facebook’s version is a bit more robust.

Facebook Lists could be used in several ways. First, let’s say you have a newsletter. Create an Interest List on Facebook and add any relevant pages and publishers on Facebook to aggregate their content all in one place. You’ll be able to easily scroll through posts, photos, videos, and more. Facebook also recommends similar pages to add to your lists, which helps you discover new content and outlets along the way.

For a more personal use, you can also add “Friends” to an Interest Group. Perhaps you don’t want to un-friend anyone, or just see the status updates and photos from your closest friends. Use an Interest Group to organize your friends in one feed, and away from the onslaught of advertisements and brand page posts now populating your feed.

There are also a wide range of settings and options for these lists, ranging from type of status to notifications. For work lists, perhaps you want to make it public and allow users to follow you. If it’s personal, it probably makes the most sense to create a private list.

2014 Social Media Image Size Cheat Sheet | Constant Contact Blogs

2014 Social Media Image Size Cheat Sheet | Constant Contact BlogsIt seems like every week, there’s a new example of how images can be used to improve your results on social media.

One of the most recent examples is from Twitter, which released data showing that tweets with images generate 35 percent more retweets than those without.
There are also examples from Facebook — which says that posts with images generate 100 percent more engagement than text-only posts — and from LinkedIn, which revealed that members who share images with their network are five times more likely to have other LinkedIn users engage with their updates.

Understanding why you should use images is the easy part. It’s the mastering of how to actually do it that can be tricky.

In addition to finding the right images to post, tweet, pin, and share across your different networks; you also need to figure out the right dimensions for your images, as well.
Then there are things like profile pictures and cover photos — which need to be different sizes, based on the network that you’re on.

It’s a lot to keep up with.

That’s why we created this cheat sheet.
In the cheat sheet below, you will find all the sizes you need to know when sharing images on social media, or adding images to your pages and profiles.

If you want to edit your image to fit perfectly, there are some great tools available that you can use on your desktop or your phone.
PicMonkey is a free desktop app that gives you the option to crop a photo to the Facebook cover photo size.
To crop, simply select the crop tool, choose the Facebook Timeline size, and resize your photo.
If you’re using a photo from your smartphone, try a photo app to resize it to fit the cover photo space. The PicStitch app for iPhone has a cover photo crop feature.
To resize for Facebook, start by choosing a collage type. Then, in the editor, click Edit to select your photo. Next, click the Aspect tool and scroll until you find the Facebook cover size.
When you’re done, export your photo to Facebook.
